Using our links in Search Engine placement/bidding

If you desire to bid on keywords and pay for placement at search engines, you can easily obtain the "hyperlink" URL through your affiliate control panel.  Click on the "Campaigns" link at the top of your affiliate control panel. On the next page, click on "View All" from the menu on the left. Select the campaign you desire, and click on "details". Choose any banner by clicking on "subscribe".  The next page will show you a search engine URL, as well as banner/text link codes.  Simply use the search engine link as the link for the search engine to send traffic to, and use the approved Text Link words for your ad description.  NOTE: Do not bid on any copyrighted words. For example: "Visa" is a copyrighted word. You may place an ad regarding Visa at search engines, but you cannot bid on the word "Visa". Instead, bid on non-copyrighted words such as "credit card", but not by brand such as "Visa", "MasterCard", etc.  Also note, some search engines may not permit affiliate link URLs, and we have no control over their Terms and Conditions.

Search engine bidding/placement is entirely at your financial risk.  Refer to the terms of each campaign for details on how/when you will be rewarded a commission. If the payout is "per lead" or "per sale", you earn a commission when visitors click-through from the search engine and submit valid applications at the client's website.

Statistical Reporting

How clicks, leads and sales are reported:

Clicks: All click-throughs are tracked live and instantly without delay.  Clicks are reported as "Clicks un" and "Clicks".

"Clicks un" - these are clicks from unique visitors (not from the same IP address).

"Clicks" - these are clicks from the same visitor via your web site.

Leads: Lead reporting varies, according to the Client's parameters. Refer to each individual campaign for details.

Sales: All "sale" programs have a minimum of 1 business day for reporting.

Our system also gives live reporting of Impressions, and is reported as "Impr un" and "Impr".  Impressions are the 'display' of our links on your web site.

"Impr un" - these are impressions generated by unique visitors (not from the same IP address).

"Impr" - these are impressions generated by the same visitor via your web site.

Reversals: Invalid leads/sales will be reversed.  Examples:

*Duplicate application from the same person.

*Non-qualified applicant, such as a non-US person applying for a product/service for US citizens only.

*Bogus information typed in the application.

What Does "EPC" Mean?
"EPC" stands for "Estimated Earnings Per Click".  This is not a commission paid to affiliates per click.  EPC is a calculation of the average lead/sale earnings of all affiliates for each click they generated to a particular product/service.  Each day, our software automatically calculates the EPC rates.  It totals all affiliate clicks sent to each program, then the total revenue generated by all those clicks.  For example: If the total of all clicks by all affiliates for program ABC is 10,000, and a total of $5,000 in revenue was generated, then the EPC rate would be 50 cents ($5,000 divided by 10,000 clicks).

The EPC rate is a guide only.  Your results may vary, depending upon the targeted demographics of your web site.  A web site entirely about "Auto Loans"; for example, may experience a better EPC rate for an auto loan program than a web site that is dedicated to "Gift Baskets".

Getting Paid

Payments are disbursed by the end of the month for the preceding month's commissions, provided the total amount is at least $50.00.  If the amount is less than $50.00, the commissions will be carried forward to the following month(s) until the $50.00 minimum is obtained.  Affiliates receive payment via Pulsar Marketing, the parent company of our networks.

IMPORTANT: Be sure your address is correct on your affiliate info.

The requirements below are to ensure proper accounting of all funds in accordance with U.S. regulations, to ensure you receive your earned commissions, and to promote quality services to our clients by verifying affiliate identities.

* U.S. residents must provide a valid Social Security/Federal Tax ID Number, and a signed W9 in order to receive commission payments. U.S. residents must provide a physical U.S. address (not a PO Box). If you select Non-U.S., you must provide a W-8BEN. If you give us fraudulent Pay To information, or data in violation of our Terms, you shall forfeit any and all earned yet unpaid commissions, as those shall likewise be considered to be fraudulent.
To obtain a W9, go to www.irs.ustreas.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf

* Overseas affiliates are paid earned commissions via a "registered, Non-US Verified" PayPal account, and recipients must first provide a W-8BEN.
To obtain a W-8BEN, go to www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdg/fw8ben.pdf

W9 forms must be mailed to:

Getting Approved for Campaigns

Each Advertiser on our network has their own requirements and qualifications.  Many of our programs have automatic affiliate approval, but some clients may first require a review of your website. When you "subscribe" to a particular program, the next page will tell you if you were automatically approved or if your website must first be reviewed.  If you subscribe to a program but get rejected, you may need to modify your website's content before being allowed to participate in that particular program.  In some circumstances, non-U.S. Affiliates may be limited to our referral program or to our "per-sale" programs.

Fraudulent Clicks/Leads, and Fraudulent Affiliate Referrals:

Pulsar Marketing pays its affiliates higher commissions because of two factors:
1) The fee we charge our Clients is less than other networks.
2) We monitor all activity to ensure clients properly award commissions to our affiliates, and we track all affiliate activity and immediately remove affiliates who commit fraud.

Unless otherwise specified in the "Description" of a campaign, we do not permit incentive advertising of our programs. All clicks/leads must come directly from actual customers without reward (profit sharing) to the customer.

Affiliates are not permitted to collect applicant data on their sites for the purpose of manually re-typing that data into our client application forms.

Fraudulent clicks/leads, or "lead uploading", can and will be subject to account termination and forfeiture of any and all earned commissions.  Commissions generated via fraudulent activity are returned to the Client to maintain the integrity of our network and the higher payout rates.

Fraudulent affiliate referrals; including but not limited to, registering yourself or another person in your household as a sub-affiliate for the purpose of generating 5% referral revenue will result in account termination and forfeiture of any and all commissions.

Updating Your Information and Adding URLs

Ensure your Pay To information, address, site content and URLs are correct.  Be sure you list all the web site URLs in your affiliate account in which you will be marketing campaigns.  The only exception is for search engine marketing.  Otherwise, leads/sales generated via 'unassigned' URLs may not be credited.

Login to your affiliate account, and click on the "Info" link at the top left. More links will appear on the left to update "Payment", "Content", and "Info".  If you change your Pay To information, be sure to make the changes to your "Info" section as well as to your "Payment" section.  Also be sure you list all your URLs which you have our banners/links posted.  When adding new URLs, separate each URL with a comma and no spaces.  For example: mysite1.com,mysite2.com,mysite3.com

FlatFeeSpectrum.com affiliates: To update your information, login to your account, and click on the "Modify" link at the top right of the main screen. To add more URLs, click on the "Sites" link on the left, then click on the Green Add button.

What Marketing is Forbidden?  Is Email OK?
Affiliates may only use 'approved' marketing material.  Affiliates may not alter, modify, nor create their own banners or textual links.  Some programs may not allow certain words on the same page which you place their link.  For example, major credit card issuers who offer cards with a 0 intro balance transfer do not allow the words "bad credit" on the same page which hosts their link.  And some words may require the copyright/trademark to appear next to them.  Some programs do not permit Email marketing, and most do not allow offering web site visitors an incentive for applying for their product/service.  To learn the specific details about a program, click on its campaign "Description".

Be sure you list all the web site URLs in your affiliate account in which you will be marketing campaigns.  The only exception is for search engine marketing.  Otherwise, leads/sales generated via 'unassigned' URLs may not be credited.

If you perform Email marketing, you may only include our links in an email list you exclusively own, and which you exclusively obtained. You may not market our programs to a 'rented' or 'purchased' email list. Additionally, your email subscription must require double opt-in confirmation, and provide subscribers with an immediate opt-out (not a waiting period for removal).

Prior to emailing our products or services to your subscriber list, you must:
*Send us a preview for our approval (use our Contact/Support form).
*Give us the URL of your subscription opt-in (where you obtain subscribers).

High traffic web site? If you have a high traffic web site (5,000 or more visitors per day), We can provide you with a subscription service for your visitors.  Our subscription service (powered by SafeMemos), has double opt-in, single opt-out, plus allows HTML and Text emails.  For more information, use our Contact/Support form.

Sub-ID Tracking

You can track clicks from specific web pages simply by adding &sub=### at the end of links. This is a great way to track which of your sites are producing the most clicks.

NOTE: Using Sub-ID tracking will only show you the volume of clicks each sub-id link generated. It will not show you which sub-id links generated actual leads/sales.

How to append the sub-id tracking tag:
At the end of your link code, add &sub=### (replace ### with a 3 digit number (up to 60 digits) you want to assign to each web site or web page).
Example: If this is your link URL:
http://financialaffiliatemarketing.com/click3.php?id=98&bid=185
You would add &sub=### to the end of it, like this:
http://financialaffiliatemarketing.com/click3.php?id=98&bid=185&sub=123
