According to a search for 'payday loan' at one major search engine, 37,400,000 results were displayed. Now that's what we call the spirit of competition!

With so many payday loan resources, it often makes affiliates; particularly new affiliates, wonder how they can compete against others who are super-affiliates.

Actually, you can earn payday loan commissions without competing for 'payday loan' traffic.

How? By targeting the demographics, not the keywords.

Let's say Joe Consumer is researching the internet to find strategies and tips about how to solicit his employer for a pay raise. Although he is not actively seeking a payday loan, he nonetheless meets the pre-qualified demographic because he is indeed employed.. And since he's looking for information about how to get a pay raise, he apparently could use some extra cash. So why not show Joe Consumer your payday loan affiliate link?

There are many other situations which can attract payday loan demographics without specifically targeting payday loan keywords and phrases. People seeking a 2nd, additional job to supplement their income for Christmas for gift buying, and parents looking for 'back-to-school' clothing and supplies may also need a cash advance. Although using this marketing strategy does not specifically target people seeking a payday loan and; subsequently, the conversions may not be as high, you can still produce payday loan leads.

The key to maximizing your revenue is to strategically place affiliate program links near content which might appeal to your visitors, but not overload your pages with assorted offers. If; for example, you have a web page about auto insurance, some of your visitors may be interested in refinancing their auto to get a cash equity loan, or to lower their monthly payment. Obviously, people reading an article about auto insurance, in all likelihood, either own an auto or have an existing loan.

Keep your mind open, and target demographics instead of targeting keywords/phrases.
